Deb Kinney

Pastor Deb has been at FPC since November, 2007. This was not the start of her work  in ministry. She was a missionary school teacher with World Impact in California for three years and then, after receiving her Master’s of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, was an associate pastor in Pennsylvania for nine years before coming to Burlington.

Pastor Deb is married to Randy Kinney and they live out in the country with their two dogs, Rosey, a Border Collie, and Buddy Lee, a Siberian Husky, and two cats, Pooh and Tiggr.

When she is not pastoring, Deb enjoys riding her Spyder (3-wheeled motorcycle) with Randy on the open road. They also enjoy traveling in their RV camper, traveling often to Estes Park, Colorado and Yellowstone National Park.

Pastor Deb enjoys learning and has earned a Diploma in the Art of Spiritual Direction (she’s a spiritual director) and a Diploma in Advanced Pastoral Studies from San Francisco Theological Seminary. She currently is enrolled at Dubuque Theological Seminary working on her Doctor of Ministry degree.

He received his BA degree in organ performance and choral conducting from Coe College, and his MDiv from Bexly Hall, an Episcopal seminary in Rochester, NY, in conjunction with the Eastman Conservatory, and was ordained an Episcopal Deacon in 2005 and Priest in 2006. Randy has returned to regularly play the Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ that he first studied on almost fifty years ago!
