Deb Kinney

Pastor Deb has been at FPC since November, 2007. This was not the start of her work  in ministry. She was a missionary school teacher with World Impact in California for three years and then, after receiving her Master’s of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, was an associate pastor in Pennsylvania for nine years before coming to Burlington.

Pastor Deb is married to Randy Kinney and they live out in the country with their two dogs, Rosey, a Border Collie, and Buddy Lee, a Siberian Husky, and two cats, Pooh and Tiggr.

When she is not pastoring, Deb enjoys riding her Spyder (3-wheeled motorcycle) with Randy on the open road. They also enjoy traveling in their RV camper, traveling often to Estes Park, Colorado and Yellowstone National Park.

Pastor Deb enjoys learning and has earned a Diploma in the Art of Spiritual Direction (she’s a spiritual director) and a Diploma in Advanced Pastoral Studies from San Francisco Theological Seminary. She currently is enrolled at Dubuque Theological Seminary working on her Doctor of Ministry degree.

Randy Lee Webster serves as our Minister of Faith and Worship. Randy is a child of the congregation, the son of (the late) Shirley and Shirley Webster, and returned to our congregation in December of 2013. He received his BA degree in organ performance and choral conducting from Coe College, and his MDiv from Bexly Hall, an Episcopal seminary in Rochester, NY, in conjunction with the Eastman Conservatory, and was ordained an Episcopal Deacon in 2005 and Priest in 2006. Randy has returned to regularly play the Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ that he first studied on almost fifty years ago! Among the many things he does, Randy helps to craft out weekly worship services, and oversees the musical portions of our services and directs our choir.
Raquel Dameron
Christian Ed Director

Raquel Baker, who also goes by Rocky, has been coming to FPC for about two years and has been a member for one. This past year she was one of the Sunday school teachers for our youth.

A Fort Madison native, she was a cheerleader in high school and played basketball, softball and was in the band. She plays saxophone and the piano. While growing up, Rocky was very involved in her church, especially the youth ministries. She taught Children’s Church, worked in the nursery and with the youth group. She also helped with the bus ministry, making sure the kids made it to church on Sundays.

After graduation she attended Pensacola Christian College in Florida where she volunteered with the Pensacola Miracle League, helping physically challenged children play softball. She has worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant with dreams of becoming a pediatric nurse, and currently works for American Ordnance. She says, “Working with children and youth has always been a blessing and I cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for us!” Rocky currently lives in Wapello with her fiancée Kelsey, and their two dogs Perry and Miah.
