Polish the Jewel. The monies from this fund goes to restoring the Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ. Millie Parker Smith Eastman gave the pipe organ to the congregation as a gift, under the stipulation that the congregation acquire the very best instrument possible. The instrument was installed in 1952. G. Donald Harrison, the president of the company and the finest tonal finisher in the world at the time, came to Burlington and personally oversaw the tonal finishing of the instrument. …for they all put in out
of their surplus, but she,
out of her poverty, put
in all she owned, all
she had to live on.”
Mark 12:44
In everything I showed you
that by working hard in
this manner you must
help the weak & remember
the words of the Lord Jesus,
that He Himself said, ‘It is more
blessed to give than to receive.’”
Acts 20:35

FELLOWSHIP

The Bible advises us to
continue in fellowship
with other believers.
There is a reason for
that! It edifies us, keeps
us accountable, makes us
more transparent and
unplugs us from our
secluded self-centered
lives. We learn to share,
invite-in, commune and
interact with other
believers.

GENEROSITY

We are givers at heart
and we model that in
our lives. We believe
in giving back to our
community, our nation
and the world. We
are generous in love,
a helping hand and
raising those around
us to the Lord.

Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

GROWTH

Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow. Job 8:19

Here at First Presbyterian church we grow and we strive to help those around us to grow in a relationship with the Triune God. Out of this growth, God will show
us the fruit of the Spirit…
Joy, Peace, Patience,
Kindness, Goodness and
Faithfulness. Galatians 5:22
